I'm Patrick Kimmitt, based in Fort Collins, Colorado. For over 20 years I led ERP, cloud, data, and integration programs across JD Edwards, Oracle, Infor M3, and SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, including global implementations spanning manufacturing, finance, supply chain, CPQ, and MES integrations.

Recently I transitioned from ERP implementations to building and delivering practical AI applications through Small Pond Software. Starting in 2021, I built my first RAG project, Innovation Animal, an AI-powered patent intelligence platform that processes USPTO patent data, builds vector embeddings, and surfaces emerging technology trends. Since then I've kept building with generative AI, semantic search, embeddings, and large language models on a cloud-native stack, OpenAI, Hugging Face, Elasticsearch, React, Node.js, and AWS.

What ties the two halves of my career together is the same question: how to connect a real business problem, the systems already in place, and the right technology into something useful and scalable.
